Isn't it funny....

Isn't it funny that we all feel the need to defend our opinions, our decisions, our faith, our lives?

Isn't it funny that the Mormons feel persecuted, the homosexual population feels persecuted, the black community feels persecuted, immigrants feel persecuted, women feel persecuted: we all feel like we're being singled out.

Isn't it funny that the LDS women who decide to get an education, a degree (or two), feel the need to defend their actions and their decisions while, at the exact same time, those LDS women who marry at 19 and are a mother by 20 feel the same need to defend their choices?

Isn't it funny that we're taught to judge one another, not by intent or by heart, but by action and the end result? .... while we judge ourselves by our motive....

Isn't it funny that we feed on hatred? We make ourselves better by making others worse.

Isn't it funny that being "too" skinny is 'disgusting,' 'ugly,' or 'unhealthy' and being "too" fat is 'disgusting,' 'unhealthy,' 'ugly?'

too blonde, too tall, too smart, too lazy, too nerdy, too dark, too poor, too dedicated, too literal, too passive, too loud, too ugly, too athletic, too rich too creative, too unique, too predictable, too trendy, too old fashioned.... .... .... too quick to judge and too slow to love

here's an idea: you be too you... and i'll be too me

.... and we'll be okay with that....
